The Charnos brand was started in the UK in 1936 in Derbyshire founded by Charles Noskwith, his wife Malka and son Rolf, the brand was soon seen and respected for its quality nylon products, investing in the factory in the heart land of England. All was going well for the family bushiness until the 2nd world war, Rolf Noskwith was a well educated man and worked at Bletchley Park, parts of the famous code breakers.

After the war Rolf Noskwith back to Charnos textile business becoming chairman in 1952 after his father death and for the next half a century modernised the business with lots of new game changing textile firsts, seem free socking and anti ladder technology, known today as Charnos run resist Rolf was always investing in new machines throughout the years. Rolf's death in 2017 aged 97, what a life story. The band Charnos was bought in 2006 and still owned today by the Melas family, known today great quality fashion                      and                           always leading the way with nylon innovation.
